Frequently Asked Questions

BBQ Catering FAQs — Everything You Need to Know Before Booking

Lead times, minimums, what’s included, service styles, and more — straight answers to the questions Phoenix event planners ask us most.

Booking & General

How far in advance should I book BBQ catering?

For weekend and large events we recommend booking at least 2–3 weeks ahead, as dates fill quickly. Smaller drop-off orders can often be arranged with a few days’ notice — reach out and we’ll do our best to accommodate your date.

Is there a minimum order for catering?

Our packages start with the Maverick ($60), which comfortably serves a small gathering. For larger events we build a custom quote based on your headcount, so there’s an option for nearly any size group.

What’s included with your catering?

Every order includes our slow-smoked meats and homestyle sides. Full-service and package orders come ready to serve — ask about setup, serving utensils, and paper goods when you request your quote.

Which areas do you serve?

We bring the smoker to you anywhere in the Phoenix metro and the West Valley — including Glendale, Peoria, Goodyear, Avondale, Surprise, Scottsdale, and Mesa.

Catering Services

What types of events do you cater?

Weddings, corporate lunches and company picnics, church and community gatherings, birthday and graduation parties, jobsite and construction-crew meals, sports banquets, and just about any occasion worth celebrating across the Valley.

Do you offer full-service catering or drop-off only?

Both. Choose full-service — we bring the smoker, set up, and serve your guests start to finish — or drop-off, where everything arrives hot and ready to serve. Tell us your event and we’ll recommend the right fit.

How does the catering process work?

It’s three simple steps: request a quote with your date and headcount, we confirm the details and customize your menu, then we show up early, set up clean, and deliver bold, slow-smoked BBQ your guests will remember.

How far in advance should I book?

For weekends and larger events, 2–3 weeks ahead is ideal as dates fill up. Smaller drop-off orders can often be arranged on shorter notice — reach out and we’ll do our best to make your date work.

Can you accommodate large groups?

Absolutely. From intimate gatherings to large-scale events, we scale the menu and service to your headcount. Share your guest count in your quote request and we’ll build a spread that feeds everyone well.

Packages & Pricing

Is there a minimum order?

Our packages start with the Maverick ($60), which comfortably feeds a small gathering. For bigger crowds, the Bandit’s Bounty ($120) doubles everything — and we can build a fully custom quote for larger events.

How much food do I need per person?

As a rough guide, plan on about a half-pound of meat plus sides per adult. Not sure? Tell us your headcount when you request a quote and we’ll recommend the right packages and quantities.

How do I place a package order?

Pick your package and hit “Order This Package” — it starts a quick quote request with your selection prefilled. Jerry confirms availability and details, then sends an invoice to lock in your date. (Online checkout is coming soon.)

What’s your lead time for orders?

We recommend at least several days’ notice for packages, and 2–3 weeks for large or weekend events. Reach out as early as you can and we’ll confirm what’s possible for your date.

Corporate & Jobsite

Do you cater office lunches and recurring corporate events?

Yes. From one-off company lunches to recurring weekly or monthly catering for your team, we make office BBQ easy — delivered hot and ready, or full-service with setup and serving. Tell us your headcount and cadence and we’ll build a simple plan.

Can you handle jobsite and construction-crew catering?

Absolutely — feeding hard-working crews is one of our specialties across the West Valley. We deliver hearty, hot portions on your schedule so your team eats well without leaving the site.

Do you cater company picnics and large corporate events?

We do. Company picnics, team-building events, and large corporate gatherings scale easily with our packages, and we build a custom quote for bigger headcounts so everyone gets fed.

Can you provide an invoice and handle billing for our company?

Yes. We send a clear invoice for your event and can work with your accounts team on payment. Confirmed bookings are secured with a deposit invoice.

Weddings

Is BBQ a good fit for a wedding?

It’s a memorable one. Texas-style BBQ turns a wedding meal into a talking point — bold, comforting, and crowd-pleasing. We can keep it casual and relaxed or dress it up with full-service buffet presentation and serving staff.

Do you offer full-service catering for weddings?

Yes. For weddings we recommend full-service: we bring the smoker, set up a clean buffet, and serve your guests start to finish so you can enjoy your day. Drop-off is also available for more casual celebrations.

Can we customize the wedding menu?

Of course. We’ll build a menu around your guest count and tastes — choose your meats, sides, and service style. Share your vision in the quote request and we’ll tailor the spread.

How far in advance should we book wedding catering?

Weddings book early — we recommend reserving your date as far ahead as possible, ideally several weeks to a few months out, especially for popular weekend dates.

Church & Community

Do you cater church events and community gatherings?

Yes — church events and community gatherings are close to our heart. From Sunday fellowships and youth events to large outreach gatherings, we bring slow-smoked BBQ that brings people together around the table.

Can you work with a church or nonprofit budget?

We do our best to make it work. Tell us your headcount and budget and we’ll recommend packages and portions that stretch well without sacrificing the quality your community deserves.

Can you serve large congregations or outreach events?

Absolutely. We scale to large groups regularly, including community outreach events. Share your expected count and we’ll build a plan that feeds everyone.

Does Jerry have experience with community outreach?

He does. Beyond catering, Jerry partners with local churches to cook for and feed those in need across the Valley — feeding the community is part of who we are.

Drop-Off Catering

What is drop-off BBQ catering?

Drop-off catering means we prepare everything, then deliver it hot and ready to serve in disposable pans — no on-site setup or staff. It’s perfect for smaller events, office lunches, and gatherings where you just want great food, delivered.

What’s included with a drop-off order?

Your slow-smoked meats and homestyle sides arrive hot in ready-to-serve pans, with sauce on the side and serving utensils and disposable pans included. Just set it out and serve.

What size events is drop-off best for?

Drop-off shines for smaller to mid-size events — office lunches, family gatherings, and parties. For large events or when you’d like setup and serving handled for you, full-service catering is the better fit.

Is there a minimum order or lead time for drop-off?

Our packages start with the Maverick ($60). For drop-off we recommend at least a few days’ notice, and 2–3 weeks for large or weekend orders. Reach out and we’ll confirm what’s possible for your date.
